Minor League Managers Changing Position?

Hello all,

I think I know the answer to this already, but just in case...

I have a league where I run everything, except let the minor league managers set the lineups, depth charts and staffs. Recently though, I noticed that when I do this, they end up with players out of position - and even in some instances, their position was changed - as well as having some of my best SP prospects pitching in relief, behind guys that weren't nearly as good.

In one case, a player had a 78 rating at 2B but only a 12 at 3B and his position was listed as 3B and that's where the manager was playing him. In another, I had a 1st round pick SP with stamina of 78 and three good pitches pitching in middle relief.

So, my first question: Does this affect their development at all? I assume for the P its a bigger deal, but I feel like I should be better off playing the 2B at second, having the SP start, etc.

Second question: Is there a way to stop this but still let the minor league managers set lineups and stuff, or is the only way to avoid this to take back total control?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
