Indianapolis (4) at Rochester (5) Game 1: Ed Hodges (26-3.2) (12-14) over Dad Marshall (27-4.4) (15-13). Hodges allowed 10 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. Marshall allowed 8 hits, no walks and struck out 6. Rookie SS Ernie Cronin (24-5.3) had 2 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Indianapolis (6) at Rochester (4) Game 2: Levi Giddens (34-4.8) (5-17) over Bill Henson (29-6.5) (10-18). Giddens allowed 8 hits, 4 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits, a walk and scored a run. RF Martin Arnold (31-6.2) had 3 hits and a walk and scored 3 runs.

New York (0) at Boston (2) Game 1: Charlie Morlock (37-6.7) (13-15) over Miah Turner (25-5.3) (13-16). Morlock allowed 7 hits, 1 walk and struck out 10. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. Turner allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and a walk.

New York (2) at Boston (10) Game 2: Joe Peters (30-4.9) (14-7) over Jack Roberts (34-6.1) (17-13). Peters allowed 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 11. 2B John Ingling (26-4.6) had 2 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. Grand National Association:

Yurkovich allowed 3 hits, 5 walks and struck out 6. Rookie CF Al Young (22-4.) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. 1B Charlie Gregor (27-5.2) walked 4 time and scored 2 runs.

Kansas City (4) at Omaha (6): Tom Lee (28-6.0) (16-13) over Al McClaughry (22-5.6) (16-20). Lee allowed 8 hits, 5 walks and struck out 6. At bat, he walked twice. McClaughry allowed 11 hits, 3 walks and stuck out 6. Rookie 1B Dave Todd (21-5.5) had 3 hits, stole a base, scored a run and had an RBI.

Chicago (3) at Milwaukee (1): Pony Stanley (23-6.2) (20-17) over Zachary Buchanan (25-4.0) (15-21). Stanley allowed 4 hits, 4 walks and struck out 8. Buchanan allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5. At bat, he had 2 hits. He has now lost 7 in a row. Milwaukee made 6 errors. SS Henry Potter (32-6.4) hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBIs, but hurt his back and will muss a week or so.
