We begin a 3 game series with manager/CF Silver Borresen (32-6.9) and his Reds today. We are 2-4 against them so far on the season and lost 2 of 3 against them in Cincinnati the last time we met, a month ago. In their first trip to Detroit they showed a rude propensity for hitting home runs, with 4 in the 3 games. And they did not have LF Fleet Wilcox (29-4.9), the most prolific home run hitter of each of the past 3 seasons, in their lineup at the time. He is in the lineup now. The Reds are 2nd in the League in scoring runs with 5.5 per game (Detroit is still 4th with 5.2). They are 4th in the League in runs allowed with 5.2 per game (Detroit is #2 with 3.9).

Cincinnati Reds (32-27 .542 9.5 GB in 3rd place in the Liberty League) at
Detroit Wolverines (42-18 .700 1st place)

Our 2nd shutout in a row!
