Brandon Maurer was not at his best against Oklahoma City, as he allowed 5 runs in a short 4 inning start. The Devils only had 4 hits, but they came up with several clutch at bats to score 6 runs.

Although he didn't get the win, Doug Fister was brilliant in his start against Oklahoma City. In 7 innings, he shut out the opponent while striking out 8 batters. Meanwhile, Josh Bell continued his recent hot streak, hitting his first triple of the season.

Indianapolis scored 2 runs in the 9th just to tie the game, and finally won it in the 11th. Josh Bell was the hero, driving in the winning run with a double. The right fielder is now hitting .300 in his first few weeks with the organization.

Transactions:
Indianapolis has signed SP Jeff Samardzija to a minor league contract. Samardzija went 1-5 with an 8.25 ERA for Houston last year, but is a former All Star that hopes to turn his luck around with the Lumberjacks.
