CF Bill Fogle (27-5.3) had 2 hits with 2 10th inning RBIs. 2B Billy Moore (30-7.0) hit a double and 2 triples, drew a walk, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. For the Grays, rookie CF Al Young (22-4.8) had 3 hits with 2 doubles and a walk, stole 2 bases, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.
Omaha (4) at Kansas City (5): Al McClaughry (22-5.6) (15-16) over Tom Lee (28-6.0) (11-13). McClaughry allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Lee allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5. 2B Tommy Dyer (28-3.8) had 2 hits with a triple, stole a base, scored a run and had an RBI.
