I use a Mac, so I have some familiarity with this. OOTP has an option in the main menu to open the saved games folder, which I believe is set to the proper path in the Mac App Store version (as opposed to using the Mac version we sell).

Are you trying to keep your saved games and other OOTP folders on an external hard drive? It seems that it would be simpler to keep them on your Mac's local hard drive.
I haven't checked this thread in a while, but yes, that it was I am trying to do. I also downloaded OOTP 16 from the Mac App Store, but again, I can't change the file location to an external hard drive. It seems OOTP can't read or write anywhere outside of a specific location. I looked this up, and it is called "sandboxing". Is there any way to remove these sandbox restrictions so that one can actually use files from other locations?

EDIT: I think I was able to fix this problem by manually removing the sandbox from the application. I can view files across the entire system, but I have yet to see if I can do anything.

EDIT 2: I was able to successfully convert a OOTP 14 game to a 15 game, which I wasn't able to do before. I do not personally recommend the solution as it involves something I am probably not allowed to discuss on this forum.
