Before the games today, Cincinnati added 2-time MVP OF Fleet Wilcox (29-4.9) to their roster. Having missed a third of the season, it seems his string of 3 home run titles and 4 RBI titles in a row are in jeopardy.

Philadelphia Keystones (14-26 .350 14.5 GB in 7th place in the Liberty League) at
Detroit Wolverines (29-12 .707 1st place)

Fred Barrow, Phil. (34-4.7) (R 6-9 5.39 12.5-3.3-3.9 H-BB-K/9) vs. William McLeod, Det. (27-5.6) (R 6-8 3.18 7.3-3.1-6.7)

Won - 4 to 1

McLeod allowed 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 7.

Barrow gave us 6 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5.

We made 1 error and Philadelphia made 2.

LF Ben Smith (27-6.7), on his birthday, had 3 hits with a triple and his 4th home run of the season, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.

LF Tom Laarman (25-7.8) had 2 hits with a triple, scored a run and had 3 RBIs. For the Reds, RF Fleet Wilcox, in his season debut, had 3 hits and scored a run.

Grand National Association:

Providence (6) at Pittsburgh (3): Ed Wison (25-7.3) (14-9) over Tom Lilly (26-6.4) (12-9). Wison allowed 6 hits, 5 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. Lilly allowed 9 hits, 1 walk and struck out 5. At bat, he had a hit and a walk and an RBI. Rookie CF Al Young (22-4.8) hit 2 doubles and drew a walk, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.

Brooklyn (1) at Omaha (4): Lee Sprague (26-3.5) (4-3) over Al Green (23-3.8) (16-6). Sprague allowed 5 hits, no walks and struck out 10. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI. He was won 4 in a row. Green allowed 3 hits, no walks and struck out 6. That's a tough outing to end up a loser. He gave up more runs than base-runners! Brooklyn made 7 errors to 1 for Omaha.

Baltimore (9) at Milwaukee (1): Tom Wilmarth (26-5.4) (7-15) over Zachary Buchanan (25-4.0) (12-12). Wilmarth allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. At bat, he had a hit.
