Rochester (4) at Indianapolis (3): Ed Hodges (26-3.2) (5-10) over Joe Osborne (28-3.0) (3-4). Hodges allowed 7 hits, no walks and struck out 3. At bat, he hit a double and a triple, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. Indianapolis did not score until the 9th inning. CF Jack Wallace (33-7.5) had 2 hits with a double and 3 walks, stole a base and scored a run.
New York (0) at Boston (9): Freddy Wood (30-6.3) (6-4) over Jack Roberts (34-6.1) (11-6). Wood allowed 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. He has only allowed 1 run total in his last 3 starts. He has not allowed more than 4 hits in 4 straight. SS John Ingling (26-4.6) had 3 hits and a walk and scored 2 runs.

Sprague had to leave in the first inning with a twinge in his shoulder, but it turned out to be nothing. Wilmarth has lost 4 in a row and 6 of his last 7. 3B Ed Aldrich (22-6.8) hit a double and drew a walk, stole 2 bases, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.
Omaha (6) at Milwaukee (11) Game 2: Dan Burton (31-4.9) (14-7) over Bill Hamilton (28-5.4) (6-6). Rookie 3B Dave Gray (25-4.9) had 3 hits and a walk, scored a run and had an RBI. CF Asa Holtz (26-6.7) had 3 hits, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.
