Omaha (10) at Brooklyn (7): Bill Hamilton (28-5.4) (5-5) over Al Green (23-3.8) (12-5). Hamilton allowed 11 hits, 2 walks and struck out 1. At bat, he had a hit and a walk and 2 RBIs. Green allowed 13 hits, 5 walks and struck out 7. At bat, he had a hit. Omaha scored 5 times in the top of the 9th. Rookie CF Dave Todd (21-5.5) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
Providence (9) at Kansas City (5): Tom Blomberg (28-4.7) (9-8) over Al McClaughry (22-5.6) (7-11). Blomberg allowed 6 hits, 7 walks and struck out 3. McClaughry allowed 10 hits, 1 walk and struck out 7. The Cowboys made 8 errors, 5 of them by 2b Tommy Dyer (28-3.8). 1B Charlie Gregor (27-5.2) had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.
