Sweetapple was a fun one to follow. I just wish he was either younger when he go to the league or was able to hang in longer. His downfall happened fast. Maybe that was his punishment for chasing the money and leaving Norfolk. :-) ... He ended up with 8 solid seasons and 138 wins.

He isn't as good as Diaz, but still above average. Diaz is probably rated the best defensive catcher in the game.

Diaz:
C Ability: 18
C Arm: 18
Catcher: 20

He'd be replaced with Baldwin, Bolton and Rojas:
Henry Rojas
C Ability: 13
C Arm: 14
Catcher: 15

Mike Baldwin
C Ability: 8
C Arm: 13
Catcher: 12

Mark Bolton
C Ability: 12
C Arm: 13
Catcher: 16

Currently the deal is pretty big, with me sending 3 big-league players over to the Sixteens in return for a star and 3 prospects (Rojas is a prospect). That or just 2 of 3....

Proposed deal:
I'd send to Georgetown

C Alejandro Diaz: .204-8-22 (43 G)
Contact: 8/9, Gap: 7/7, HR: 15/15, Eye: 5/6, K's: 12/12
*Glove Wizard @ C in 2024

3B Edgar Baez: .252-4-13 (38 G)
Contact: 10/10, Gap: 11/11, HR: 9/9, Eye: 9/9, K's: 10/10
*Glove Wizard @ 3B in 2024 & 2025

3B Mario Gomez: .302-3-5 (16 G)
Contact: 12/12, Gap: 11/11, HR: 10/11, Eye: 2/2, K's: 11/11

In return I would get:
IF Bryant Frank: .284-4-16 (50 G)
Contact: 10/10, Gap: 12/12, HR: 10/10, Eye: 12/13, K's: 10/10

SP Angel Nasquez: 3-2 2.94, 2 SV 7 G/5 GS, A
Stuff: 9/12, Movement: 10/11, Control: 8/12

3B David Marricico: .377-4-20 (25 G), AA
Contact: 10/11, Gap: 9/9, HR: 8/12, Eye: 3/4, K's: 11/12

C Henry Rojas: .380-8-34 (32 G), AA / .375-0-2 (6 G), AAA
Contact: 11/12, Gap: 13/13, HR: 9/12, Eye: 9/11, K's: 9/12

The deal works like this or with removing Gomez and Frank. These two guys are close, but Frank is "durable" and Gomez "fragile" plus Frank is about $2M cheaper in 2027.

I will prepare for the draft and have to think about this... right now. I am leaning towards pulling it off...

I think the lineup and defense will still be just as good... but a big deal like this can be a game changer in either direction.
