Fred White was a catching prospect who was a non-roster invitee with the Colt .45s in 1962. He is shown here wearing a mitt which Paul Richards had brought over from the Baltimore Orioles to Houston. The mitt had originally been designed for catching Hoyt Wilhelm knuckleballs.
