Sometimes this game can be so annoying. Despite my long connection to the game, I'm not very good at it. And despite the fact that OOTP isn't great about letting you "manage your way up the ranks," I'm currently managing the rookie league Titusville Barracudas. I had us at a respectable 7-6, just a 1/2 game off the division lead heading into a three-game set against the Sarasota Waves.
The result?
- We lose 5-4 in 10 in a seesaw affair.
- We lose 4-3 giving up 2 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th.
- We lose 2-1 in 12, with my starter going 7 innings with 1 run, and his successor throwing four scoreless innings.
OK, OK, it's early in the season. It's a marathon not a sprint, etc.
But still, grrrr.
