MLB as Feeder Questions
Wasn't sure where to put this, please move if in wrong forum.
I had the idea of making sort of a Masters league where I would use the MLB as a feeder and set the minimum age to say 35, 40 or something similar.
I don't want to have crazy MLB contracts or really any if I can avoid it, the idea is more of a "fun" league where old and or former players would join because they want to keep playing the game, not make bazillions of dollars.
I really don't even want free agents, but understand if they are required for the system to work as far as teams signing players....I can deal with having them if needed basically. :-)
There will be no trading, as again, it's more of a "fun" league, not profit so to speak.
No draft either, as all players should be able to play for whoever they want.
Anyway, can anyone give me some insight on how to set this up properly? I tried and keep getting players that are eligible for the league, but want ungodly contracts, even though I have financials turned off...I also see no way to sign these players to my league.
Just really at a lose here and looking for some help.
