Rochester (3) at Troy (4): Miah Turner, Troy (24-5.3) (18-17) over Bill McClean (39-6.0) (7-32). Turner allowed 8 hits, 1 walk and struck out 9. McClean allowed 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2. For the Jingoes, 1B Pete Hinde (29-7.9) had 3 hits, stole 2 bases and scored 2 runs. 2B Doc Coe (28-4.7) had 3 hits with a triple and a walk, scored a run and had an RBI.

New York (4) at Boston (7): Charlie Morlock (36-6.7) (9-8) over Count Childs (29-3.1) (17-20). Morlock allowed 9 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6. At bat, he had a hit and scored 2 runs. Childs allowed 9 hits, 4 walks and struck out 2. CF Pat Stafford (24-5.4) had 2 hits with a double, a walk, stole 2 bases and scored a run.

Grand National Association:
Pittsburgh (8) at Providence (7): Tom Lilly (25-6.4) (28-12) over Egyptian Hooker (37-3.9) (10-10). Lilly allowed 10 hits, 5 walks and struck out 5. At bat, he had 3 hits and scored 2 runs. Hooker allowed 15 hits, no walks and struck out 3. He has lost 3 in a row, though this was the first poorly pitched game. 2B Jack Green (32-5.5) had 3 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. CF Mike Hammond (34-5.7) had 3 hits with a home run, stole a base and scored twice.

Baltimore (9) at Omaha (7): Pop Yurkovich (33-5.6) (14-25) over Lee Sprague (25-3.5) (14-7). Yurkovich allowed 9 hits, 4 walks and struck out 5. Sprague allowed 12 hits, 1 walk and struck out 6. Baltimore scored twice in the top of the 9th to break a 7-7 tie. C William Fisher (29-4.9) had 3 hits with 2 doubles, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Brooklyn (4) at Milwaukee (2): Ren French (24-4.9) (1-4) over Dan Burton (30-4.9) (24-23). French allowed 9 hits, no walks and struck out no one. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. Burton allowed 7 hits, no walks and struck out 4. Jim Granier (30-5.7) had 3 hits with 2 doubles, scored a run and had an RBI.

Kansas City (6) at Chicago (4) in 10 innings: Al McClaughry (21-5.6) (11-7) over Pony Stanley (22-6.2) (11-15). In 10 innings, McClaughry allowed 13 hits, 2 walks and struck out 6. Stanley allowed 8 hits, 1 walk and struck out 9. At bat, he had 2 hits and an RBI. The Colts made 4 errors to 1 for the Cowboys. 2B Al Sarbacker (24-4.8) had 3 hits with a triple that plated the go-ahead run in the 10th. He scored twice.

I got to watch Zenas Keough (24-4.5) pitch and he tossed a shutout. He has won 7 in a row and 9 of his last 10, so I am taking him to Detroit with me and putting Tommy Shearin (27-5.7) on a train back to Syracuse when I get there. At worst, Keough will just get hammered the same as Shearin has.
