We begin a 16 game road trip today in Rochester. We will play 4 games in Rochester and 4 in New York over the next 11 days. We are 6-2 against manager John Burton (46-3.6) and his Jingoes this season. They are currently last in runs scored with 3.8 per game (Detroit is 4th with 5.0). They are 7th in runs allowed with 5.4 per game (Detroit is still #1 with 4.0). Rochester's Culver Field is the best pitcher's park in the Liberty League.

CF Fred Bianco (26-6.9) had 3 hits with a double and a triple, stole a base and scored 2 runs. RF Jackie Porter (30-6.3) had a hit and a walk, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. 1B George House (26-4.3) had 2 hits and a walk and scored a run. C Evan Eckberg (29-3.5) had a hit, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.

Liberty League:
Washington (8) at New York (2): Lou Townley (23-3.4) (16-12) over Count Childs (29-3.1) (13-17). Townley allowed 7 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. Childs allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4. C Fred Smith (30-6.8) had 2 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. LF Sy Geller (26-5.7), in his season debut, had 3 hits with a triple, scored 2 runs and had an RBI.

Cincinnati (6) at Troy (5): John Stevens (28-8.2) (17-11) over Miah Turner (24-5.3) (12-15). Stevens allowed 10 hits, 3 walks and struck out 2. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. He has won 4 in a row. Turner allowed 8 hits, 3 walks and struck out 7. Cincinnati made 7 errors and Troy made 2, so don't ask me how the Reds won the game. SS Fred Vay (33-6.0) had something to do with it. He hit a double and his 2nd home run of the year and scored twice.

Cleveland (8) at Boston (6): Jim Ludwig (25-4.6) (7-7) over Charlie Morlock (36-6.7) (4-5). Ludwig allowed 10 hits, 5 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits and an RBI. RF Clipper Wilson (29-4.4) had 2 hits, a walk, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. For Boston, manager/1B Pete Bucolo had 3 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. Boston has lost 3 of their last 4 and 6 of their last 9 to fall 5 games behind the Wolverines, who have won 7 in a row.

Baltimore (3) at Pittsburgh (5): Tom Lilly (25-6.4) (23-10) over Tom Wilmarth (25-5.4) (9-15). Lilly allowed 9 hits, 1 walk and struck out 5. At bat, he had a hit and a walk. Wilmarth allowed 6 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4. Baltimore made 5 errors and Pittsburgh made 1. 2B Jack Green (32-5.5) had a hit and a walk, stole 2 bases and scored 2 runs. RF Tom Campbell (27-3.6) had 2 hits and 2 walks, scored 3 runs and had an RBI. 3B Kid Angell (36-6.0) had 4 hits with a double and a triple, scored a run and had 3 RBIs.
