Liberty League:
Troy (5) at New York (6) in 10 innings: Count Childs (29-3.1) (13-16) over Miah Turner (24-5.3) (12-14). In 10 innings, Childs allowed 12 hits, 2 walks and struck out 10. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. Turner allowed 9 hits, 2 walks and struck out 3. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. The game was tied at 3 going into the 9th. Troy scored twice in the top of the 9th to take the lead, but the Gothams scored 2 runs in the bottom half to tie it back up. In the bottom of the 10th, CF Ed Glass (25-4.5) led off with a single and later scored on an error. He had 2 hits and stole 2 bases. For the Haymakers, CF Bert Gellis (24-5.5) had 3 hits with a double and a 2-run triple in the top of the 9th. He also scored a run.

LF Gus Ivey (29-6.3), one of the few players hitting well for the Jingoes, sprained his knee and will miss 5 to 6 weeks.

Cleveland (1) at Cincinnati (8): John Stevens (28-8.2) (16-11) over Jim Ludwig (25-4.6) (6-7). Stevens allowed 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 7. He has won 3 in a row and is 11-3 in his last 14 starts. 2B Jumbo Lynn (25-3.8) had 2 hits with a home run, a walk and scored twice.
