Indy league purchase fees

One thing I've been considering tinkering with is the Indy league purchase fees. Specifically, I'm thinking of cranking them way down. Here is what I'm thinking.

The default setting is $250K; not a ton, but not insignificant (certainly more of a financial commitment than a free MiLC). As a result, unless there's a real diamond in the rough, I just opt to sift through the free agent pool if I need to fill a roster spot. I'm starting to wonder if such a high amount gives me a little bit of an unfair edge against the AI, which tends to be willing to spend that amount on absolute minor league filler.

Also, when looking at the financials of the default Indy leagues, $250K seems like an exorbitant amount for a team to receive. Like if a team had a few players that got purchased, could that change the dynamics of the league significantly? I haven't looked much into this, just wondering.

Lowering the fee sounds like a good option, but would that create an unrealistic amount of Indy league signings? Has anybody played around with this before? Is there a different purchase price you've come to like?
