Loving the game but..

I gotta say, first off, that this version of OOTP16 might be the best yet. The AI is getting so developed at this point. I have played with the game some in each mode: GM and Manager but not TOO in depth. Here is what I see:

Let me start out by saying that while I can play GM/Manager that lacks "realism" to me. The GM/Manager role is just not one that you find in major league baseball. At least when I HAD a manager there was somebody there to handle the aspects that I wanted them to handle but I could still have oversight. It was a nice mix and might be a nice "classic" setting added going forward.. that's just a thought.

On the GM side the game has really taken off. I can manage the roster and "force" the manager to use players in a way that I want him to use them. I like the GM to coaching relationship. I get a little bored simming through most games because if I'm not going to manage them I'm not going to watch the on the field action.

That said, the GM side is incredible. Its becoming an amazing part of the game.

As for the manager side, while I like it there is a big piece missing for me. I want/need some upward communication much like directing a manager to play a player as a GM. I want to be able to say to my manager "I would like you to trade for a catcher" or "This second baseman is not cutting it. He should be sent down."

Add that and the experience from the manager side would be great. While that obviously is not happening for OOTP16, that and base coaches with varying degrees of aggressiveness with base running (we have every other coach) would make the on the field experience near perfect.

All in all though, this is nearly the best experience that I have had with OOTP. Great job!
