Grand National Association:

Milwaukee (11) at Baltimore (7): Tom Washam (32-6.1) (1-0) over Joe Osborne (27-3.0) (0-2). Washam allowed 7 hits, 6 walks and struck out 2. They new 6-ball-walk rule will likely hurt him more than most. At bat, he had a hit, scored a run and had an RBI. 3B Hi Ross (27-4.9) had 3 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. LF Pete Green (36-9.3) had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. For Baltimore, RF Harry Cole (26-6.4) hit 2 doubles and had 4 RBIs.

Brooklyn (3) at Omaha (5): Tom Lee (27-6.0) (3-0) over Henry Rawls (30-4.3) (1-1). Lee went 7 innings, allowed 9 hits, no walks and struck out 6. He had t leave the game with a pulled hamstring and will likely miss 3 to 4 weeks. So the Mutuals will have to make do for the next month without either Lee Sprague or Tom Lee. Bill Hamilton (27-5.4) pitched the final 2 innings, allowed 1 hit and struck out 2 in his major league debut. Rawls allowed 5 hits, walked 2 and struck out 3.
