Just think of all the tourists in Orlando that will go to a game. Men can now pitch a road trip to watch their favorite team play in Orlando by saying they want to take the family to Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, etc... and, oh hey, team x is playing in Orlando that week too. |
Bah! I live in Orlando. No one plans a vacation around the fact that the Bulls are playing the Magic. It is the internet and cable tv that wrecked the sports vacation. The Orlando team would need fans. We just sucked in a MLS team and yeah, crowds are great but then again no one went to the Amway for Magic games. I travel to St Pete for games, I support the Rays as much as I can and the great craft brew scene in St Pete. But I would rather the team have a team in Tampa. Closer to everything but St Pete and Clearwater.
