I've noticed that AI teams manage to sign players to minor league deals with opt out clauses that the player can exercise if not on the MLB roster by a certain date. I haven't been able to figure out how to do this myself, though. Is this something human controlled teams can do, or is it limited to the AI? If it's limited to the AI, why?
