Grand National Association Games:
Louisville (9) at Providence (13): Egyptian Hooker (36-3.9) (14-7) in relief of Wes Wright (30-5.7) over Jake D'Addario (34-5.5) (9-19). Wright had to leave in the 4th inning with a badly sprained ankle and will likely miss the rest of the season. Hooker pitched 5.2 innings, allowed 5 unearned runs, 4 hits, no walks and struck out 3. The Grays made 13 errors. 1B Charlie Gregor (25-5.2) had 3 hits, a walk, scored 2 runs and had an RBI and no errors. SS Tom Hepner (22-7.1) had 3 hits, a walk, stole a base, scored a run and had 4 RBIs, but made 4 errors.
Scranton (7) at Milwaukee (15): Oscar Mason (24-4.6) (2-0) over Sam Paul (29-5.4) (12-26). CF Charles Hundley (28-5.3) had 4 hits with a triple, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. 2B Levi Torrence (33-5.3) had 4 hits, scored 2 runs and had an RBI. For Scranton, C Doc Cole (35-6.1) had 4 hits, a walk, scored a run and had an RBI and threw out the only player to attempt a stolen base.
Kansas City (6) at Chicago (5): Joe Osborne (26-3.0) (7-20) over John Ritch (30-7.8) (22-24). LF Lou Baggett (22-4.2) had 2 hits with a home run and 3 RBIs. For the Colts, 3B Sam McKenna (32-6.0) hit 2 triples, scored a run and had an RBI.
