Louisville (8) at Scranton (2): Ed Sharp (29-5.5) (15-18) over Sam Paul (29-5.4) (11-24). Sharp allowed 12 hits, 1 walk and struck out 4. C Bumpus Dowdy (34-7.2) had 2 hits with a double, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBIs. 2B John Meredith (29-6.0) had 2 hits with a double, a walk and 2 RBIs.
Pittsburgh (0) at Brooklyn (3): Dick Cole (30-5.9) (18-17) over Tom Lilly (26-5.7) (22-9). Cole allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 2. Lilly allowed 5 hits, walked 3 and struck out 5. He hit a double. 3B Kid Angell (35-6.0) hit a double, scored a run and had an RBI.
Providence (8) at Kansas City (10): Hosea Alexander (36-4.8) (14-6) over Egyptian Hooker (36-3.9) (13-7). Alexander won his 4th in a row and is 12-2 over his last 14 starts. At bat, he had 3 hits with a double, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. C Gene Stone (27-5.4) had 3 hits and 2 RBIs.
