RF Hank Roberts (25-3.0) had a hit, stole a base, scored a run, had 2 RBIs and threw a runner out a 3rd. 1B Charlie Toner (23-8.7) had 2 hits with a triple and scored a run. SS Warren Hogan (30-7.2) had 2 hits, scored a run and had an RBI.

For Brooklyn, 3B Kid Angell (35-6.0) had 3 hits and 2 RBIs.

Grand National Association Games:
Milwaukee (5) at Providence (6) in 10 innings: Egyptian Hooker (36-3.9) (13-6) over Tom Washam (31-6.1) (16-25). Hooker allowed 11 hits, no walks and struck out 3. He has won 5 of his last 6 starts. With his bat, he had a 2-out 2-run single in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. Providence scored 4 times in the bottom of the 9th to tie it up. CF Gus Ivey (28-6.3) had 2 hits, scored a run and had the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 10th. Washam allowed 8 hits (4 in the 9th and 10th), no walks and struck out 6. For the Brewers, 2B Deke Baker (33-3.9) had 3 hits with a triple, stole a base and scored 2 runs.

Philadelphia (7) at Baltimore (0): Bill McClean (38-6.0) (21-13) over Sal DeVaux (29-3.5) (11-15). McClean allowed 1 hit (a double to lead off the 2nd), walked 0 and struck out 5. The Quakers did not make an error and McClean faced only 28 batters. With his bat, he had 2 hits with a double and scored a run. This was his first start after spending 2 weeks out with an injury. LF Clarence Reis (33-5.0) had 3 hits, a walk and an RBI.

Pittsburgh (7) at Minneapolis (0): Frank Parsons (30-5.8) (10-17) over Dan Dittmar (35-8.0) (20-16). Parsons allowed 4 hits, no walks and struck out 3. With his bat, he had a hit and an RBI. C Cliff Robinson (26-6.1) hit 2 doubles, drew a walk, scored a run and had an RBI. For the Millers, CF Mike Hammond (33-5.7) pulled a hamstring and they expect him to miss 4 to 5 weeks.

Louisville (1) at Kansas City (4): Hosea Alexander (36-4.8) (13-6) over Ed Sharp (29-5.5) (14-18). Alexander allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 5. He is now 11-2 over his last 13 starts. Sharp has lost 4 of his last 5. 3B Erve More (25-4.5) had 2 hits with a double and an RBI. 2B Jack Grossman (29-7.1) strained his groin and they think he'll be about about 5 weeks. For Louisville, 3B Hi Ross (26-4.9) had 3 hits with a double and scored a run.

Liberty League Games:

Cincinnati (13) at Cleveland (2): Charlie Branham (24-4.2) (24-9) over Willis Kornfield (31-6.0) (7-11). Branham allowed 6 hits, no walks and struck out 3. On offense, he had 2 hits, scored a run and had an RBI. He is 19-4 over his last 23 starts. 2B Pete Hinde (28-7.9) had 3 hits with a double, scored 3 runs and had 2 RBIs. CF Fleet Wilcox (27-4.9) had 4 hits, stole a base, scored 2 runs and had 4 RBIs.

Detroit (1) at New York (3): Jack Roberts (32-6.1) (22-20) over Hank Anderson (31-7.7) (12-6). Roberts allowed 4 hits, 3 walks and struck out 4. At bat, he had a hit and scored a run. Anderson allowed 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 2.

St. Louis (5) at Troy (11): Miah Turner (23-5.3) (9-8) over Will Taylor (37-7.9) (5-14). Rookie RF Pat Womack (23-6.3) had 3 hits, scored a run and had 4 RBIs. For the Maroons, 1B Harold Bradley (26-5.1) had 3 hits with his 8th home run. He has the most home runs of any player that does not play in the mini-parks in Cincinnati and Chicago.

Washington (4) at Boston (7): Joe Peters (28-4.9) (19-7) over John Callaham (35-5.5) (11-21). Peters allowed 8 hits, 2 walks and struck out 8. He won his 12th decision in a row, but has 3 no decision starts during the streak. Tom Lee has won 14 straight starts. CF George Kunz (31-5.7) had 2 hits with a home run, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs.
