Try this. Finish your first season and proceed to preseason. Once there select the option to import historical modifiers. Then select the year you want your numbers based on. The game will then run the calculations. Once it's done, uncheck the box and proceed to your opening day.

Do this each time you get to preseason and I think you may get what you desire. Just make sure you uncheck the box each time before you proceed to opening day.
