I agree completely. Devin Mesoraco had a 2 star rating with 4.5 potential last season, but this season he's just got 2 star potential, even after hitting .273/.359/.534 with 25 HRs in 114 games last season and cementing himself as a top-3 offensive catcher, even ahead of Molina and possibly Posey. He definitely deserves at least 3 star overall with 4.5 potential.
Another example is Joey Votto, who has had a rough 2 or 3 seasons but is still rated 5 stars. It could be attributed to injury, but the fact is that he isn't the 5 star player he once was. 4 stars is fair if you're giving Devin 2.
Finally, Johnny Cueto. He was on the shortlist for the Cy Young, and I believe came runner-up, and yet has 4 star rating. He needs a 5-star rating, because he pitched much, much better than David Price, Stephen Strasburg, Masahiro Tanaka, Jon Lester, Madison Bumgarner, Cole Hamels, Jordan Zimmerman, Zack Greinke, Mat Latos, and Hyun-jin Ryu last season, even though all those pitchers have higher ratings than him.
