1990-91 Offseason News and Notes
The draft was not one i would call particularly strong. Its nice to see that the first pick, Jeff Bagwell, went to the Astros!! The Jays grabbing Mike Mussina at three maybe the most impactfull pick though, as they needed pitching badly.

The second year of Hall of Fame voting has taken place . Jim O'Toole was again elected in, but received a few less votes this time around. I again vetoed the induction. Getting into the Hall of Fame, Bill Singer, and Steve Yeager.
Steve Yeager recieved 89.3 percent of the votes, and gets in because he was a catcher. He's still a great player, but being a catcher, which is the rarest of all postions in the hall, puts him easily in. Bill Singer was a star, and he's a very easy induction for me and the voters. Singer was named on 96.4% of the ballots, the highest in the short 2 year process.
Some major moves, and some major spending in free agency this year.
Danny Jackson is a very good pitcher, but the Mets should have spent that on Dwight Gooden last season. The Pirates are losing players every year, and Tony Fernandez, perhaps baseball's most underrated hitter, as I barely ever mention him, becomes one of baseball's richest players.
Here are the offseason trades
