Yet for some reason my owner wants an upgrade at RF, where we are currently listed as the 13th best right fielder.
I've noticed this a few times with other teams as well. When I play as the cardinals, without fail, my owner wants me to upgrade at 1st after the first full season. Sometimes its justified, but sometimes Matt Adams has exceptional seasons, and ranks as one of the better first basemen after the season.
So my question is how exactly does the owner decide when the team needs an upgrade at a position, and what are the criteria for that, because it definitely seems like its not based on their actual performances. I know I don't have to complete his goal, especially if Castillo continues to rake like he has for 3 years, but I'm still curious.
