Starters will be taken out of the game after 4 innings in ST games. This is not affected by the team strategy concerning the quicker or slower hooking of starting pitchers who are not performing well. Increasing pitch counts might change this, but I am not sure about it since I never had an issue with starters leaving ST games early (I usually have a bunch of relievers in camp competing for the available bullpen jobs, pretty much like in RL). Going four innings per game over the course of Spring Training comes pretty close to reality where starters last about two innings in the early spring games, increasing the workload to 5-6 frames in the final contests before the regular season starts.
