The fans of the White Stockings are hoping that the expansion draft upheaval hasn't changed the dynamic of the squad. They are hoping for another pennant and championship run. The Independent League Assessors agree with the fans that they can expect another possible pennant as they see them finishing in first place in the NL table.
The MLB has decided to keep a schedule of 84 games but has changed the league running time so that it now currently only runs from April to mid July before the play offs. This change in structure for the schedule will put a lot of pressure on the pitchers as the league still specifies only 2 starters can be selected. This also means the All Star Game is going to be played at the end of May.
The teams GM and Manager have put their squad through a tough work out during spring training to get them ready for the season. This has led them to selecting the following 25 players as the opening day roster.
