7th April 1882
The fans of the Atlantics are hoping that with the addition of the new teams to the league they will be able to have a better season than they have done over the last few years. The Independent League Assessors feel that this will be the case as they have predicted that the Atlantics will manage to finish in third place and not slip out of the top 4.
The MLB has decided to keep a schedule of 84 games but has changed the league running time so that it now currently only runs from April to mid July before the play offs. This change in structure for the schedule will put a lot of pressure on the pitchers as the league still specifies only 2 starters can be selected. This also means the All Star Game is going to be played at the end of May.
The team has been busy during the spring training period getting all the players into shape ready for the new season. The GM and Manager have assessed the squad and selected the following 25 players for the opening day roster.
