The fans of the Atlantics have seen quite a bit of upheaval at the start of this post season. Firstly they have lost 19 players through the expansion draft. They also released players to free agency. The team has also already been busy in the trade market.
The first piece of business the team made was to trade Veteran Pitcher George Zettlein to the Cincinnati Red Stockings in exchange for 24 year old minor league Third Baseman John Morrissey and 22 year old minor league Catcher Sleeper Sullivan.
The team also released 8 minor league players to free agency.
The team also lost 19 players in the expansion draft. The most notable losses were Second Baseman Joe Gerhardt, Short Stop Lou Say, Catcher Bill Harbridge, Catcher Whitey Ritterson and Right Fielder Jimmy Hallinan. The full list of departures is shown below.
The team will hope to replace these players in the first year player draft. A full report will be bought to you once this is complete.
