"Rule Change Announced"

I have been a loyal customer since Season Ticket Baseball. I buy the latest version without a second thought because the game has given me so much enjoyment that I feel I owe it to the company to do my part. However, I am so angry with this version because of what many may see as a trivial thing. I just finished my first season with real rosters MLB and I get this horrific message:

League Officials have just announced the minimum service time to reach free agency has been reduced to 5 years. This will enable players to test the open market earlier and thus make more money. The number of year required to reach arbitration has been reduced by 1 year as well.

What on earth is this all about? This is bad for the game of baseball as well as OOTP. Is this a bit of bias coming out of the developers? Small and mid market teams are having a hard enough time competing now we think it is good for the game to reduce the time that these teams can afford their players?

A much better idea would be to reduce the years of league minimum salary for players and increase the arbitration years. How about 2 years at league min and 5 years at arbitration eligibility?

I shouldn't be this angry but I am.
