Ron Herbel, Mets
This is the irony of the search for a good color of image of Ron Herbel during his brief stay with the 1970 Mets.
While we know there is a George Brace shot of him (a thumbnail of which once appeared on this site) there is also another, hiding in plain sight. It's the 1971 Topps card of Herbel, which is merely a capless portrait taken at Shea Stadium in September, 1970.
Those pinstripes belonged to the Mets. So while this hardly suffices for those looking for Herbel in full New York garb, it does mean there is a Topps shoot of him and a negative could pop up in the Vault at any time.
