Wnidows 7, patch 1.2. Not sure if this has been reported yet or not, but the AI has just tried to sign two Dominican free agents for my minor league teams. I've got emails from them with odd responses.
Both are 16 years old, both have 1* potential and 0.5* ability (for what that's worth), and yet both have rejected the contract, claiming they don't want a "minor league extension". One even said "is this how you reward loyalty?".
Two issues:
- Both are FAs, and have never played for us (or anyone else) before. So it's not an extension in either case. Even if it was an extension, what kind of loyalty could a 16 year old have shown us?
- They're 16, and pretty awful. Where would they expect to play if not the minor leagues?
Not sure whether this is a cosmetic bug where it's showing the wrong text in the reply, but either way it seems odd that they wouldn't sign. Especially considering they seem to expect major league contracts, which is simply not happening.
