The batting was up and down all month on its way to 55 runs. The star with the hot bat was Right Fielder Curry Foley. Foley picked up 20 hits from 63 at bats in 14 game starts. He scored 10 runs with 3 RBI's for an average of .317

The batting was also a mixed bag this month as 3 different players started games. The best from the mound was Pud Galvin who picked up 3 wins from 7 starts while pitching 56 innings. He gave up 61 hits and 15 earned runs for an ERA of 2.41. The team gave up a total of 62 runs.

George Derby missed 2 weeks of the month with a finger blister.

The rumours about what the MLB will do at the end of the season have intensified as the consultation period has completed. A spokesman for the MLB said they would have an announcement in due course once all contributions had been assessed and a final decision made.
