1887 season

Two new teams! As announced, the league celebrates the arrival of the Dokwerkers of Berendrecht and the Ontduikers of Ekeren.
Whereas Hoboken and Zeilers played thus far in the same stadium, the Paxton & Williams' team has found a new field baptized Lambertsadion (with more than five thousand places!) for the occasion on the outskirts of the city. But that did not give more room for Hoboken since the Dokwerkers moved to the Veldweg. Finally, Ekeren found a pitch that can welcome a little less than two thousand people.
For this new season, the Zeilers are again favorites, while on the other side a no chance ticket is given to two new teams still inexperienced.

That did not happen as expected.
Even with a .404 batting average Paxton, Hoboken Club won the league for the first time. The deception is huge in the Zeilers' camp, but Hoboken have just proven that the little games have their importance. Despite their final position, Ekeren and Berendrecht gave a hard time to the two others. Which will make the competition more interesting in the coming years because Hoboken showed today that the regularity prevailed over large fleeting performances, while a place among the top is possible for Ekeren and Berendrecht if they continue in that way to tickle the leaders.

In the same year, thanks to the maritime word of mouth and immigration, a baseball team was born in another harbor town: Brugge. Unfortunately, they did not have enough players to create a second team and had to settle to simply play friendly games among themselves.
But the revolution is underway.
