while I haven't had to restore a league in some time, I essentially do the same thing with templates. All I have to do is copy the "good" jerseys, caps, and logos from my saved directory back into *.lg folder. Believe it is under html\news\images (logos\teams, Jerseys, and ballcaps) or something like that. As long as your filenames are right, it should prompt you to overwrite all of the existing files existing in those directories (the ugly ones) with your good ones.
