Without saying too much (NDA) there will be a description that gives you an overview of the type staff member he is.
Maybe he prefers to build around veterans, or maybe he focuses on pitching more than hitting. That sort of thing.
A lot will depend on experience too - if the guy's inexperienced, you probably won't know a whole lot about him since he doesn't have a track record yet. More experienced, more info.
