Which quirk? Skipping straight to the snap?

No, the games will be identical, it basically fast forwards (very very quickly without you realising) to the snap.
In the same way when two AI teams are playing each other we put the game on fast forward (as fast as your computer can handle) so the game only takes about (on my computer) 1&1/2 seconds to calculate and not 3 hours.
