1879 Cleveland

Thank you for your detailed research. In response to the April 1879 quote all I can respond with is the evidence presented by the 1879 team photo. No sign of Cleveland on the uniform. No evidence of a check suit. A cap with 2 hoops not plain white. It is my understanding that Craig's color uniform evidence was from a Chicago newspaper dated March 1879 so the fact that your have unearthed information from a more local source and from a date nearer to the commencement of the season would appear to have stronger weight, notwithstanding the pictorial evidence I quoted before.
