knuckler, here are more suggestions for team nicknames in your New England League:.. they are based on the locale.

Waterbury Brass... known as "Brass City"... at one time in the 1800s it was the "Brass Capitol of the World"... manufactured brass for U. S. nickles... and South American money... 10,000 people were employed in WW II... it might be a stretch to use musical instruments as the logo.
Waterbury Tick Tocks... ... also famous for watch making... at one time they made 20,000 watches a day... a baseball image with time markers on it as if it was a clock might be a good start for a logo.

Manchester Industrials... city was planned to emulate the great English manufacturing industry in its namesake city of Manchester, England... famous for textile mills on the Merrimack River, which splits the town... also manufactured locomotives.
Manchester Locomotives
Manchester Locos
... this could signify both a train engine and also "Crazies" from the Spanish word "loco"... included below is a Loco logo showing a "crazy" locomotive.
Manchester Merrimacks... for the river that splits the city in half... source of power for textile mills.

Danbury Hatters or Mad Hatters... known as the "Hat City"... in 1904 made 25% of the hats in the U. S.
Danbury Derbies... for derby hats.
Danbury Continentals... it was an important supply depot during the Revolutionaly War.
Danbury Dingers... just sounds good and it's a good ballball term.
