It was an average month for the Brown Stockings that left them treading water in the AL table. The team had 7 wins and 6 losses through the month. They now sit in 3rd place in the AL table 6 games behind the leaders.

The batting was solid all month to score 81 runs. Left Fielder George Hall had an excellent month.He started 13 games and had 58 at bats. These at bats produced 26 hits along with 16 runs and 9 RBI's for an average of .448. The AL Voters decided this performance was worthy of the AL Batter of the Month award.

Blondie Purcell picked up the AL Rookie of the Month award with an average of .412 in 12 games with 7 starts.

The pitching was solid during the month with the best coming from Sam Weaver. Weaver picked up 4 wins from 7 game starts. He pitched 55 innings, giving up 59 hits and 18 earned runs for an ERA of 2.95. The team gave up a total of 78 runs.

Catcher Pop Snyder suffered a blow to his season as he picked up an injury mid month. He Went down with an oblique strain during a match and has been diagnosed with a 5 week recovery time.

went 0-2 to finish the road trip to the Cleveland Blues 2-6 and 5-7
3-0 at home to the Philadelphia Athletics 7-1, 9-1 and 12-6
1-2 on the road to the Baltimore Orioles 5-2, 3-10 and 6-8
2-1 at home to the Cleveland Blues 5-4, 9-13 and 6-5
went 1-1 to start the road trip to the Philadelphia Athletics 7-6 and 5-9
