The fans of the Atlantics suddenly saw an up tick in form from their struggling team as they near the end of the season. Their is renewed hope that they may not finish last this year. The team picked up 6 wins during September and lost only 2 as they moved back to third place in the NL table with a half game advantage over the Cincinnati Reds.
The Batting was strong all month as they scored 41 runs. Centre Fielder John McMullin had an excellent month as he picked up 11 hits from his 28 at bats in 8 game starts. He gained 4 runs and had 2 RBI's for an average of .393 for the month.
The pitching was shared during the month due to injury. Joe Blong started 4 games and pitched 39 innings for 35 hits and 7 earned runs and an ERA of 1.62. The Only Nolan started the month with 3 game starts before his injury. He pitched 24.1 innings for 18 hits and 2 earned runs against him. His ERA of .74 saw him voted the NL Rookie of the Month.
The Only Nolan picked up an Oblique strain mid month and meant he missed 2 weeks of the month. He returned at the end of the month.
Charlie Eden returned from injury towards the end of the month.

The next series was a 1-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. 3-6, 9-2 and 4-9
The final 2 games saw wins against the Boston Red Caps 2-0 and 8-4
