One of my favorite team names that I've ever come up with was the Augusta Sea Wolves, (I always picture them with a lighthouse built into their stadium in some way). I have trouble putting them into my main league, as I figure they'd be a little too small a city, (and probably a little too close to the Minutemen of Boston as well), but sometimes I just play the "I want it that way" card and just push through. Lately, thinking about using them as a farm club for the Minutemen, actually. Either way, you said thoughts and opinions were welcome, even if it was just a nickname for one of the cities, so I thought I'd mention it.

On a side note, I almost always prefer to go with iconic cities in my leagues. Even though I was nearly a full 20 years away from being born when Ebbetts Field was demolished, it still feels just... wrong... not to have a team from Brooklyn on the list. If it's a full national league, I mean. Oh, and I absolutely LOVE the Hollyood Oscars and Salt Lake City Alpines sets. I've been looking for something like the Hollywood Stars to stick in my universe somewhere, but I didn't want to go with the exact name, for whatever reason. Both of those sets are great.

Ha, mentioning you is well deserved. I really like reading about fictional leagues and your back stories are always great inspirations for the logos.

I prefer iconic cities as well. It's hard to imagine leaving off Newport, Rhode Island or Mystic, Connecticut even if those aren't the biggest locations. I feel like they should be included, even if it's at the minor league level.

That's a cool nickname for Fall River and is a big help. I will consider adding Plattsburgh though one of the other leagues I've always wanted to do was either an Upstate New York League or an Adirondacks League.

Do you want it limited to two leagues with 8 teams each?
I don't really have any parameters set in stone. I'm happy to get all the suggestions that I can to figure out the best way to make the league work. A lot of the cities will be on everyone's list so I really need help with nicknames more than anything, but I am really appreciative of any suggestions so thanks for the post, EC.

It looks like Bottom of the Sixth is lurking so hopefully he will make a post or two as well. He doesn't really post his leagues much, but he has created some really cool leagues that not many people know about.
