The Cleveland Blues poor second half of the season form continued as they picked up only 2 wins and 6 losses in September. This has left the fans of the Blues again resigning themselves to probable off season shake ups for the front office and another bottom half table finish in the AL. They sit bottom half a game behind the Baltimore Orioles.
The batting scored a fairly low 34 runs during the month. No batter showed form during the month. The best was Dave Eggler who posted an average of .265 from 34 at bats in 8game starts. He picked up 9 hits, 5 runs and 2 RBI's during the month.
Amos Booth picked up the AL Rookie of the Month award.
The pitching of Tricky Nichols was steady and would have won more games but for the poor batting. He started all 8 games and pitched 62 innings to give up 77 hits and 20 earned runs. This gave him an ERA of 2.90. The team gave up 50 runs in total.
