Anyway my $.02 here is you need to make a list of players and positions you want to scout while your out of the playoffs - soon to be free agents - overseas scouting for diamonds in the rough - deeper rounds scouting of the major junior leagues. I extensively scout 5 to 10 NHL players while the playoffs go on just to target one or two in FA.
I think your owner will give you another year to produce IMHO you had a lot of promise and lost close games so figure 5 games won instead of lost would have made you a middle of the pack team.

The GM says he is very happy with what I have done?!?! Not sure what I did but tank his team. I have done the draft already (1 NHL ready and I have an unsigned draftee that is also NHL ready but I signed both to a NHL/AHL deal for sake of moving them around) I got to say this was my first FHM offseason and I may have **** the bed on this one but I think my picks will turn out ok... I am going to make a full list of my team and all my prospects and see who is coming up, where I am weak, What I need to be scouting for and so on and so forth over the coming days so dont expect an update all to soon as I am going to pre lay it all out in a word document.
What I can say is be very ready for a killer first line next year and a second line with some sweet Canadian young guns
