Th fans of the Atlantics had a more enjoyable season than the last few as the team saw some improvement to claim 2nd place in the NL table. This improvement managed to bring them up to playing average ball. The fans are hoping that this improvement will continue next season and bring them closer to the strong Chicago White Stockings.
They finished the season with 2-4 loss against the Cincinnati Reds followed by 1 win and 2 losses against the Brooklyn Atlantics 3-10, 7-10 and 13-8
The star of the season was Centre Fielder Wes Fisler. Six season veteran Fisler started all 60 games and saw 267 at bats. These at bats saw him hit the ball 88 times to get an average of .330. He also saw 43 runs and 39 RBI's.
The pitching was entrusted to the arm of Rookie Foghorn Bradley. Bradley started 58 games in his first season and pitched 443 innings. This work saw him tire a little as the season went on and he finished with an ERA of 3.51. Hopefully next season he will be better after an off season of conditioning.
