The Atlantics fans are just wishing for the end of the season to come as they saw their team have another disaster of a month. The team won only 2 games from the 9 they played. This has left them rooted to the foot of the NL table for the fourth season in a row.
The batting again failed to turn up as they scored only 32 runs. The best player in this sorry bunch of batters was Third Baseman Bill Boyd. Boyd played 8 games and had 31 plate appearances. These plate appearances saw him claim 8 hits along with 3 runs and 1 RBI for an average of .258.
The pitching of Joe Blong was always going to struggle against this poor batting but his form also dipped during the month. He started all 9 games, pitching 60.1 innings. This work load saw him give up 78 hits and 26 earned runs for an ERA of 3.88. The team gave up a total of 70 runs during the month.
