In a world where the National Pastime is king, baseball enjoys the benefits of modern sports, without the disadvantages. Most players stay with their teams (they all get paid in full); divisional opponents play each other more often; there is no major-league DH; lavish stadiums draw millions of fans. ‘Baseball strategy’ means everything. This is the world of the NPBL.
